HASTINGS WASTEWATER OUTFALL DIFFUSER REPLACEMENT

Replacement of the final 300m fibreglass section of the ocean outfall diffuser with a 300m HDPE pipe.

Supply of 300m 900OD PE100 (HDPE) SDR21 pipe, fusion welding of pipe strings and PE duckbill fittings, pressure and tensile testing of the HDPE components. Fabrication of reinforced concrete weight blocks, steel straps, steel tube piles, anodes, steel wye section and pressure testing. Supply of marine and dive crew to attach wye section and replacement 300m pipe to the existing concrete pipe section and pinning to seafloor.
